Audio Bibles and Winter Coats
With winter approaching for thousands of Iraqi refugees, efforts are underway to provide blankets and jackets to protect vulnerable families from the freezing temperatures. Many are now faced with the prospect of spending most of the winter in makeshift shelters. The Joshua Fund staff traveling to the region earlier this year recognized that in addition to winter supplies, refugees needed to discover the promises of love and hope contained in God’s Word.
The Arab culture is an auditory learning society – and a substantial number of the Christians displaced from their homes are illiterate. Working with key ministry partners in the Middle East and the U.S., The Joshua Fund is providing funding for thousands of winter coats for refugee families, as well as audio Bibles.
