Jim Gallagher On “The Joshua Fund”

Pastor Jim Gallagher is a longtime friend of The Joshua Fund. In a recent conversation, he shared just how much our work has meant to him. Here is what he had to say:

The Joshua Fund has been instrumental in encouraging and equipping believers to reach into their homeland, Israel, and beyond with the message of the Cross.

Over the past several decades, God has been doing fantastic work among believers within Israel and their neighbors. As a result, the Gospel is not only impacting the region but potentially spreading from its birthplace once again.

When the apostles asked the risen Lord about restoring His kingdom, Jesus responded;

It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth (Acts 1:7-8).

It was God’s plan for the Gospel to spread from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. Within the book of Acts, we follow the Gospel from its humble beginnings to its unprecedented impact upon the Roman world. Not since the first century have we seen this process repeated.

Over the past ten years, it has been my privilege to participate in some small way with tremendous laborers in the vineyard. By seeing the hands-on ministry approach and thoroughly-vetted ministry of The Joshua Fund firsthand, I’m confident they are doing good work in Israel and neighboring territories.

On behalf of The Joshua Fund and the believers in the Holy Land, I would encourage you to pray for The Joshua Fund and consider partnering with them to “bless Israel and her neighbors in the name of Jesus.”
