It is the Passover sacrifice of the LORD
“It is the Passover sacrifice of the LORD, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our households.” So the people bowed their heads and worshiped. – Exodus 12:27
Sunset Monday, March 25th, 2013 marks the beginning of the Jewish holiday of Passover, one of the most important Jewish holidays. Passover commemorates the deliverance of God’s people from slavery in Egypt. The Joshua Fund, with your assistance, will be able to help many impoverished Israelis celebrate Passover this year. Unfortunately, with 1 in 4 people living below the poverty level in Israel, there are many families and individuals who are unable to celebrate the Passover holiday. Through our ministry partners in Israel, we will be distributing matzah, fruits, veggies, pastries and other Passover goods to Holocaust survivors, Ethiopian families, needy mothers, single mothers and to poor and needy Jewish individuals and families. We are thankful to the Lord for the opportunity to serve in this way and we are asking the Lord to bless these families and individuals in the knowledge of God’s love.
Thank you for enabling The Joshua Fund to serve the needy in Israel. May the Lord bless you as you bless Israel and her neighbors in the name of Jesus!
Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name when they saw the signs which He did. – John 2:23
So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover. – Matthew 26:19
