Hezbollah Preparing for War with Israel

Is war looming even closer for Israel? Reports indicate that Hezbollah is making preparations for a possible conflict with Israel. The Lebanon-backed group is growing increasingly concerned about western pressure to overthrow Syrian President Bashar Assad, who has been a consistent ally of Hezbollah. The Syrian president’s violent and harsh response to nationwide protests continues to spark speculation that the regime may soon be replaced with a government friendlier to Israel, the United States and Western interests.

Just a few weeks ago during the Epicenter Conference in Jerusalem, we were exhorted in the book of Joel to be aware of what time it is – knowing the days in which we live. Our response as believers is to examine our hearts, be ready to give an answer for the hope that is within us, and to pray without ceasing.

Will you join us in interceding fervently for the peace of Jerusalem, for the peace of Israel and the entire epicenter region? As the days grow more urgent, pray for Israel’s leaders to have wisdom as they guide the nation through these tumultuous times, and for God’s protection of lives in the region.

And it shall come to pass whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the remnant whom the LORD calls. – Joel 2:32
