The Joshua Fund Privacy Policy

The Joshua Fund respects the personal information and privacy of our donors. We have developed this Privacy Policy so that you know how we gather, use, and protect the personal information that you share with us.
We may from time to time update this Privacy Policy, so we encourage you to review it periodically. We will notify you (by email or by prominent notice on this site) about changes in the way we treat your personal information and how those changes are likely to impact you.
In general, when you request to receive communications from TJF, the only personal information that we will collect is that which we need to know in order to serve you most effectively. By providing your personal information in connection with the request, you provide your consent for TJF to collect and process your personal information for these purposes of communicating with you about TJF and our ministry, mission, activities, and ministry happenings.
TJF may also collect and process your personal information to achieve TJF’s legitimate interests in furthering its mission of mobilizing Christians to bless Israel and her neighbors in the name of Jesus. These uses include providing goods or services, processing donations, or otherwise complying with TJF’s legal obligations.
The Joshua Fund does not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to any third-party, except as required by law or as expressly stated in this Policy. Our use of your personal information will be limited to the internal purposes of The Joshua Fund as explained in this Policy. The Joshua Fund will not send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. The Joshua Fund may use your personal information to communicate with you, such as with newsletters or other updates. You have the right to opt-out of those communications at any time.
We may need to share your personal information with third parties acting as agents of or service providers to TJF. We have taken appropriate steps to confirm that these third parties process your personal information in a manner that is consistent with applicable laws, with our instructions, and with the purposes for which you have provided this information. We may also disclose your personal information to third parties as required by law, when good faith disclosure is necessary to respond to a government request or to protect our rights, or with your prior consent to do so.
If you share payment information with The Joshua Fund, we will use that information only for the purpose for which you submitted it. Payment information is protected using industry-standard practices and credit card details are not retained for other purposes. We may also use your personal information to acknowledge and provide you with a tax receipt for your donations.
We keep your personal information only as long as it is needed to achieve our purposes listed above, as well as for the amount of time necessary to meet any legal, tax, or reporting requirements. We do not keep your personal information for longer than necessary and up to seven (7) years after your last interaction with us (e.g. requesting to receive communications, making a donation, registering for an event, and the like). We may keep your personal information for longer than seven (7) years for legal or technical reasons. We may also keep it for statistical purposes. However, if we do, we will ensure that your privacy continues to be protected and only use it for these purposes.
Where you have provided your consent, you have the right to modify or withdraw your consent to our collection, processing, use, sharing, and/or retention of your personal information.
In emails we send you, we will provide an easy link to opt-out (unsubscribe) from receiving future communications.
On our website, you are able to give your consent to communications by signing up for newsletters, submitting a message via the Contact Us page, or by submitting a donation. Please contact us to modify your consent for us to collect your personal information. This can be done via the Contact Us page, https://www.joshuafund.com/contact-us.
In addition to providing you with a clear and easy “Opt-Out” option in our emails and on our website, you can also contact us at info@joshuafund.net or call us at 703-860-0166.
In general, you have the right to access your personal information, to edit and update your personal information, to request that your personal information be deleted (which will be deleted consistent with our legal obligations), to request limitation of processing of your personal information, and to object to certain types of data processing such as automated decision making (if that were to occur). You can exercise these rights by contacting us as provided in this Policy. (You may also have the right in some jurisdictions to file a complaint with a data protection authority.)
When requested by an individual, we will provide to that individual the personal information we have in our system about that individual without undue delay and normally within 30 days of his request. Any request by that individual to correct, update, change, or delete their personal information will also be handled without undue delay and normally within 30 days of that request.
If there is a need to deny the request based on TJF’s overriding legitimate interests in processing the personal information, TJF’s need to comply with legal obligations, or TJF’s need to perform a task in the public interest, we will notify you as to why your request was rejected. You also have the right to withdraw the consent that formed the basis of your personal information processing.
